At GOLFTEC, we’re obsessed with helping golfers improve their game and achieve their goals. That’s why we’re sharing Swing Journeys, the inspiring stories of our Students who have transformed their swing and taken their game to the next level. These stories highlight and celebrate the progress, dedication, and success of our students, and show that GOLFTEC is truly The Way to Way Better. Join us in celebrating our amazing Students and their #SwingJourneys.
Cindy Gilkeson has been a student of GOLFTEC since 2009 and has been coached by Kendal Putman, Darren Smith, and Doug Strawbridge over the years. Her dedication to the sport has led her to become one of the most accomplished golfers in her region. In 2022, Cindy was the points leader for the Texas Women’s Golf Tour (TWGT), part of the reason Cindy earned GOLFTEC’s Student of the Year award.
Apart from her TWGT success, Cindy also has been a 3-time club champion at River Bend Country Club, made back-to-back appearances at the US Senior Women’s Amateur, and is a six-time Houston City Amateur Champion.
In addition to her impressive golfing resume, Cindy has served on the GOLFTEC Student Advisory Committee. This committee provides feedback to GOLFTEC on their coaching programs and curriculum, ensuring that the company continues to provide the best possible coaching experience to its students.
Cindy’s achievements are a testament to her hard work and dedication to the sport of golf. She is an inspiration to golfers of all levels, showing that with the right mindset and work ethic, anything is possible. Her success also highlights the impact that GOLFTEC’s Coaches and technology have on a golfer’s game.
Now let’s take a look inside one of Cindy’s recent GOLFTEC Lessons to see what she’s working on.
Cindy Gilkeson’s success as GOLFTEC’s Student of the Year is well-deserved.
