Callaway releases the newly innovated club line aimed to help golfers with slower swing speeds maximize distance
Most golfers know, technology changes quickly in the equipment industry. As a great example, Callaway released the Epic Star line just two years ago and it’s already time for a reboot.
Now enter the Callaway Epic Flash Star driver, fairway woods, hybrids, and Epic Forged Star irons.
The main purpose of the Star line was always to focus on those golfers who fall into the slower swing category and maximize their distance with the help of a club. And this new line is no different.
Ultra-Premium Lightweight Performance
Callaway has taken the new advancements that are found in their Epic Flash equipment and successfully transferred them into this ultra-lightweight line. The Epic Flash Star driver and fairway woods feature both Jailbreak and Flash Face technology and the Epic Flash Star hybrids feature Jailbreak and Face Cup technology.
The purpose of updating these already ultra-lightweight clubs was to ensure that this specific group of golfers has access to the latest technology in the clubs that already gave them added distance due to the weight of the club.
Having a driver that’s paired with a 30g/40g class shaft, an ultra-lightweight 30g Golf Pride JL00 grip, along with a lighter crown and fixed hosel system, can save you 50 grams vs. the Epic Flash driver AND features Callaway’s advanced technology, now that’s a game changer.
Ultra-Premium Forged Design
Not to be left in the dust, the Epic Forged Star irons are packed with technology as well. The irons feature a carbon steel body with a high-COR and an ultra-thin face which is equipped with 360 Face Cup technology. That is also in combination with high, powerful lofts and optimal CG placement to help promote maximum distance.
All of that technology is packed in a lighter head, combined with 40g/50g class shafts and a 43g shaft, talk about the total package.
“The combination of extremely light weight, fast face-speed and distance-enhancing CG locations should give any player immediate dividends in terms of added yardage,” said Dr. Alan Hocknell, head of R&D. “The saying ‘you get what you pay for’ applies to our new Epic Flash Star equipment. It costs more, but in return you get the absolute maximum in lightweight distance-enhancing design and technology.”
