GOLFTEC Congratulates Brand Ambassador Scott Gutschewski On Earning Back His PGA Tour Card
A decade may only be 10 years, but in golf time that can feel like an eternity. Just ask GOLFTEC’s newest brand ambassador Scott Gutschewski, who recently earned back his PGA Tour Card for the first time since 2011. Gutschewski secured his spot on the PGA Tour by way of a top-50 finish on the Korn Ferry Tour last season, and was understandably emotional as he tried to put it into words.
It definitely has been a hard road for Gutschewski, and it doesn’t get any easier on the PGA Tour, where he is playing in his 4th event of the 2021-2022 season this week at The RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia. Gutschewski has a couple of solid finishes already this season with a T-39 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship and a T-51 at the Fortinet Championship.
An Omaha, Nebraska native, Gutschewski has been working a lot on his wedges, short game and putting with GOLFTEC Omaha Coach James Kinney.
This is Gutschewski’s sixth season on the PGA Tour. His first three seasons came from 2005-2007, then he returned in 2009 and 2011 and now 2021. Gutschewski has won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour, but is still looking for that first PGA Tour win. Thanks to his drive and determination to get back on Tour, he will have an opportunity to get that win.
With over 600 GOLFTEC Coaches at over 220 locations worldwide, GOLFTEC is one of the largest employers of PGA Professionals. James Kinney is one of the hundreds of GOLFTEC Coaches who have been recognized by organizations like PGA of America, GOLF Magazine and Golf Digest for their excellence as golf instructors and mentors.
