Caddie Damon Green recounts the story of Zach Johnson battling nerves and immense pressure down the stretch Sunday to win the 2007 Masters.
What do the Claret Jug and an Open Championship caddie bib have in common with the Masters?
One heck of a story from Damon Green about Zach Johnson winning at Augusta National in 2007. GolfTEC’s Jon Levy caught up with Green at the PGA Merchandise Show in January to talk major championships and Zach stories, and what it’s really like on the back nine Sunday at the Masters.
Never mind Johnson’s longtime caddie happens to be wearing an Open Championship caddie bib while firmly holding the Claret Jug – Johnson’s on-loan property as the reigning victor of the Championship– because it’s all about Augusta in his cool recount of the native Iowan’s first major championship title.
