TaylorMade launches new driver as the equipment company continues to focus on forgiveness
TaylorMade has released some really impressive drivers over the past couple of years. From the M-series to the SIM driver last year, you couldn’t go wrong having a TaylorMade driver in the bag. But instead of totally reinventing the wheel, the golf company doubled-down on the success from last year’s driver made some significant improvements, and is releasing the new SIM2 driver.
The SIM2 driver, which comes in three models- SIM2, SIM2 MAX, and SIM2 MAX D, features proven technology from previous driver lines like Speed Injection and Twist Face but with slight modifications. The Speed Injection port has moved from the face to the toe. Also, the new drivers feature innovations in the Forged Ring Construction to increase distance and forgiveness.
The brand-new weight saving equipment is packed with technology, and I’m sure a ton of golfers will run, not walk, to get fitted and add this driver to their bag this spring.

Draw Bias Design Often, standard draw bias designs promote a right-to-left ball flight at the expense of forgiveness. By reconstructing the driver head and shifting the asymmetric Inertia Generator closer to the heel, we’re able to maintain forgiveness while enhancing draw-bias.
