As the world leader in golf instruction, GolfTEC takes a lot of pride in helping people play better golf.

So, when major golf publications like Golf Digest release surveys like The Best Teachers In Your State – an honor voted upon by golf instructors themselves – it’s a nice reminder we’re doing things right when our own Coaches are included.

We’re therefore proud to announce the following SEVEN GolfTEC PGA professionals made it onto this year’s list, including four from our home state of Colorado! Congratulations to our honored Coaches and keep up the great work.

COLORADO
Andy Hilts Andy Hilts
Vice President of Instruction and Education
Driving factors to become a golf instructor: “I love golf and I love helping people play it better. I enjoy the challenge it provides me personally, and also the exciting opportunity to help people play better than they ever thought they could. As a golf professional, helping people this way is the most important thing I can do to help grow this great game.”

Andy Hilts is the Vice President of Instruction & Education at GolfTEC. He is a PGA Master Professional in Instruction and author of the book The Par Plan, Thirty Days To A Better Golf Game. With over 12,000 lessons taught, Andy was named to Golf Digest’s Top 20 Instructors in America Under 40 list from 2009 to 2013 and Golf Ranges Association of America Top 50 Growth of the Game Teachers in 2012 and 2014. He has trained more than 1,500 GolfTEC Coaches worldwide.

Ty Walker Ty Walker

Advantage of teaching at GolfTEC compared to anywhere else: “The fact that there’s 100% focus on the student in our bays, and that our industry-changing technology makes such a big impact on how effectively our students learn.”

Ty Walker was the first employee at GolfTEC in 1996. He is a Colorado PGA Teacher of the Year 2002 award winner, Horton Smith Award Winner 2005, National Top Coach in 2015, multiple MVP Trip winner Coach of Champions, Boss of the Bunker. Ty has taught over 45,000 lessons.

Kevin Cubbage Kevin Cubbage
Center Manager, Director of Instruction
Most memorable moment as a golf instructor: “Watching one of my students who I coached since he was 10 years old qualify for the U.S. Open at the age of 16. To be able to watch him play at that level and share the experience with his parents is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life!”

Kevin Cubbage has been with GolfTEC since 2001. He has been the Director of Instruction and Center Manager for GolfTEC Cherry Creek since 2002. Kevin is proud to have taught over 20,000 lessons with GolfTEC and counting. A PGA Member since 1995, he was also a 2013 Golf Digest Top 10 Instructor in Colorado.

Patrick Nuber Patrick Nuber
Manager of Teaching Quality and National Director of Instruction
Biggest client success story: “A young student of mine who went from shooting over 100 to posting a 74 in competition within 10 months of starting lessons, before later going on to receive a college golf scholarship.”

Patrick Nuber is GolfTEC’s Manager of Teaching Quality and National Director of Instruction based out of GolfTEC’s headquarters in Centennial, Colo. He has taught over 14,000 golf lessons and trained over 600 GolfTEC Coaches. He is a PGA Certified Professional in Instruction and General Management.
