The maximized distance and forgiveness of the M2 completes the TaylorMade M family. Hit it THIS WEEK at your local GolfTEC!
It’s not hard to guess what may be thinking … “Another driver and more new products from TaylorMade? What could possibly be different with the M2 after the M1 was released in the fall of 2015?”
The answer: Quite a bit.
The goals of the TaylorMade M2 driver are simple — maximize distance AND forgiveness. To do this, it had to be engineered with technologies that protect ball speed and create a massive sweet spot. Much of the club’s weight is moved to the back of the driver, and combined with a redesigned Speed Pocket directly behind the face, the M2 increases MOI allowing for ball speed to be maintained across the entire face of the club.
Like the M1, the M2 driver features TaylorMade’s Multi-Material carbon composite crown, resulting in a significant decrease in overall crown weight and further shifting the CG lower in the club.
The forgiveness of the M2 driver is its key differentiator between the M1. By adding the element of forgiveness to the M2 driver and fairway woods, the TaylorMade M family now features a product for the golfer who could use a little extra help for those off-center strikes.
