It’s well known by now that two-time World Long Driving champion, Jamie Sadlowski, can do more with a golf ball than just drive it an insanely long way. He can actually, play, too, and after proving that notion again to the world in a Web.com Tour event earlier this year, Sadlowski’s encore was a breeze through U.S. Open Local Qualifying in May, with none other than Gary McCord on the bag.

Although the Canadian didn’t make it through his Springfield Country Club U.S. Open Sectional yesterday with rounds of 77-71–148 (8 over) in a star-studded field — with McCord on the bag yet again — we give an ode to the Callaway long-baller by showing an up-close, slow-motion view of his 2-iron at the PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day in January.

Never mind he smashed this thing 288 yards. And never mind a mere iron beat Jon Levy’s driver by two yards in their own long drive competition. Just take a look and thank us later for this moment of awe:
