You’ve likely received or given (gasp!) some of the worst advice in golf without knowing it
It would be hard to definitively conclude a single “greatest” aspect to the game of golf. The possibilities are many: Golf’s never-ending personal challenge, the treasured time and camaraderie shared with friends, the good walk in nature, spoiled by its wonderfully perfect imperfections.
Yes, golfers everywhere often love the game for different reasons, but at least all of us who play it can collectively agree it’s an incredible game.
On the flip side of this equation, however – at least from GOLFTEC’s standpoint as devoted purveyors of helping people play better golf since 1995 – we might propose an aspect of the game that’s conclusively the worst: Far too many golfers give, and receive, the worst advice in golf. And they don’t even know it.
As the release of our SwingTRU Motion study earlier this year definitively proved, some long theorized and taught ideas in the game – many of which have led to millions of golfers never improving the way they want to or should – were shown to be incorrect in terms of bona fide data presenting how the best golfers swing a club.
